Manchester United manager Ralph Rangnick has admitted a huge gap between his team and Manchester City after their 1-4 defeat at the Etihad Stadium.
The temporary chief said “I think we played well. or else in the first half It was difficult to concede goals quickly, we came back and scored great goals on our own. And UFABET then conceded a goal from a counter-attack game. It was a very difficult game against one of the best teams in the world. We lost our fourth goal in the last minute of the game. It was a difficult game showing that we are still far from those gaps.”
“It works, for us it’s clear that if we want a chance to win we have to run a lot. You have to stay attacking and resolute and we did it in the first half, the third goal killed us.
“The third goal was a great corner. And it’s almost impossible to prevent. In the second half they were the better team. and they show the quality they have. We struggled especially after they got the third goal.”
Asked when Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani will return, Rangnick replied: “I don’t know. I hope they are ready for this game. We have two important games against Spurs and Atletico and we have to focus fully on that.”
The German coach also answered whether the game showed a gap between the two clubs. “In the second half it happened. But the first half was a close game. They are one of the top teams in the world. And there’s a gap between the two teams.”
“We recognize that we need to win. This is one of the hardest games. It has to be admitted that they are the better team today. But we must look forward to the next game. And we have to win the next two home games.”
